Live Review
   Guy Forsyth is not your typical band leader. The first thing that comes to mind when one speaks of a three-piece R&B and jazz band is not Guy Forsyth.  But rather the fact that it is  hard  to paste a label on this power trio because when one listens to the band, the first thing that comes to mind is "This guy can't make up his mind what kind of music he wants to play".
     One minute he's on the banks of the Mississippi standing next to a man in a coat and tie and the next he's in the middle of the bar room singing accoustically about a girl who has just f***ed up an entire relationship singing so soulfully that the crowd is drawn to complete silence then brought to their feet by the power of the band's music.  Guy Forsyth is a singer, a songwriter, a prophet, and a poet.  Merely calling him an entertainer would be selling him short.  He and the guys have surpassed the definition of musicians long ago.
